Building Backlinks and Your Blogsite

A few months ago, I decided to develop a blogsite and nearing its completion, I began researching how to build backlinks to increase traffic to my site. I read article after article that mentioned several ways to increase traffic to your site.  Some articles further explained, what you should do and what not to do. Needless to say, I was eager to get started on this project, but failed to realize the amount of work that was involved and the tasks that I needed to complete.

Most of the articles that I read, only hinted at the amount of time that you should devote towards this ongoing project. First, I began submitting my blogsite url to search engines and directories. I was off to a good start and decided to join a couple of social networks too. I said to myself, “That was easy.  I can build up an audience from my social networking blogs and include a few links to my main blog site.”

My next goal consisted of searching for forums to join. I could learn more about the social networking industry and gain some exposure conversing with other members. I signed up with a few forums and this where I hit a snag. Nothing earth shattering, but a snag in my opinion is an obstacle to overcome.

When you begin to build backlinks and decide to join a forum, your main goal is to increase visitors to your site.  First of all, you really should plan ahead for this project and develop a regular work routine. Most importantly, try to stay organized and keep records of your accomplishments. Most forums are concerned with keeping spammers away and you should not overlook their rules or terms of agreements to avoid being banned from their site. Forum administrators encourage members to interact with each other. They emphasize the main purpose of their forum and list topics that you can discuss.

Forums are great places to hang out and share ideas. They are worthwhile joining, especially if you have a great deal of leisurely time on your hands. But let’s keep in mind, your main purpose for joining a forum is to receive more traffic to your site.  When I began joining forums, I learned that several forums will not allow new members to leave a signature link for their website.  New members must make at least 10 or more posts to be entitled to leave their signature link.

Okay, this is where I hit a snag. Right now, I consider my time too valuable.  I wanted to devote more time developing my main blog site. I appreciate the opportunity to network with forum members, but making 10 or more consecutive posts on a particular forum is just too time-consuming. So, I began thinking of ways to overcome this obstacle. I came up with a few good ideas and while I am experimenting with how to increase traffic to my site, I’m also keeping track of the number of visitors that visit my site on a daily basis.

Here’s a few helpful tips that can help you to become better organized while you are building backlinks for your site.

Create a spreadsheet document and list website names, addresses etc.  Include important information about forums, blogs, social networks and other sites that you plan to become a member.  Keep track of the dates that you made posts to forums, blogs, social networks and when you left comments on websites.

Next, develop a work schedule and refer to your lists often.   Overtime, you will acquire an extensive database file.  Keeping track of this information will help you to stay focused on your goals.  You will be able to develop a creative work routine without feeling overwhelmed or discouraged from building backlinks for your site.

So you watch that though there is super potency in this online world to earn money but we need to be certain so that we do not fall prey in the hands of the scammers. In this post I will demonstrate about one of the 5 means that I have mentioned above, namely Blogging.

Blogging has recently become one of the favourite choices of people who wants to earn money on the Internet. Blogging has become so much popular that eight out of every ten individuals who are habituated to this Internet sphere have a Blog. The fact that blogging has become so frequent can also be attributed to the fact that numerous popular blogging platforms have evolved in the recent times like Blogger and Typepad which provides any person to create a blog for free. Starting a Blog with one of these absolutely free blogging platforms is so comfortable that even a newbie can do it with comfort. No technical expertise is necessary at all and they have a utterly user favorable interface which eases everything, they also have a very elaborated help page and support division. The best path to learn everything is to go to any of these blogging web-sites and start out a blog yourself. I personally favour to use Blogger.com, which is a absolutely free blogging platform provided by the Search Engine giant – Google. This is the best free platform obtainable on the Internet. They offer unlimited hosting space, full independence to monetize your blog, freedom to use your individual registered domain instead of there subdomain name, fully customizable and also new features are being imparted daily. You only need a free Google that is a Gmail Id to start out a blog at Blogger.

When you have started a Blog its time to market it decently so that you obtain comfortable traffic as the money earning capability of a Blog is directly proportionate to the measure of visitors it obtains. Optimise it the right way to obtain natural search traffic from the search engines and also use other marketing techniques, both paid like for example Google Adwords and free like for instance Article Writing etc. After you Blog sets out getting a considerable amount of traffic you can monetise it with various type of monetizing plans. They include PPC Ads like from AdSense or Bidvertiser, Reviews, Text Link Ads, In-line Text Adverts, Banner Advertizements and etc. An average Blog can earn a minimum of one thousand dollars each month after more or less one year of beginning.

How to Choose Profitable Blog Ideas

Comments Off
October 31, 2009

If you have decided to become a blogger, you might find it very intimidating to come up with blog ideas. Most of the beginners face the same challenge. This is common. There is no reason to feel like you are the only one who is having trouble getting started blogging. Even if you have made a few blogs before, it’s very easy to get into a rut. You’re not alone in that either!

There are hundreds of niche topics out there that you are probably going back and forth trying to choose which one you should go with! This is what exactly I have faced as a beginner.

What you need is guidance and a good plan for how to choose a niche and really get your blog going and how make it as profitable as possible. There are a lot of bloggers who gave up at the beginning.

These are common problems like finding a niche, learning bogging techniques etc. Unfortunately, these problems cause some people to give up. In fact, it’s something that I struggled with for some time.

I tried to get help from people whom I thought I will get.  Then I started to look for a program that would eliminate this problem and help me to clear the “cobwebs” from my brain about choosing blog ideas.

Thankfully, I came across a solution that literally hundreds of people have praised. This solution is called The Niche Blogger-Make Money Blogging

This program was actually started by a mother of four children as a way to help people earn a passive income with blogging like she does.

The interesting fact is that, originally this lady has developed the Money Making Program for her mother, who had never really done anything like this before.

The end result is a step-by-step program that literally covers every thing you need to know about blogging.

What really impressed me is the way that the owner, Amy, goes over how to come up with blog ideas. It really solidified how to do niche research in my mind.

After all, it’s not just about picking a niche; it’s about choosing one that will be profitable for you. That means the niche which can really bring money to you!

This membership is thankfully very low cost. Investing in it is one of the best things you can do for your Internet marketing career!

When Creating a Blog the Niche Selection is Important

Comments Off
October 30, 2009

When creating a blog you want to pay special attention to selecting the niche you choose to blog in. You have got to remember that both you and hopefully the blog reader will be spending a lot time at the site. You of course will be managing it and supply content while site visitors will be reading the blog entries you make.

In order for your site to become one of the most popular blogs in the niche your content will have to be fresh and interesting. This means you will be spending lot of time researching and composing content for your postings. This also means the blog reader will have to like what they are reading in order for them to return to your site.

This is where the proper niche selection comes in and will be a very important factor in your success.

Here are 3 subtle yet huge benefits you can expect if your niche selection is the right one for you

You Will Love Your Work

Considering all the time you will need to invest in your blog to make it successful doesn’t it make sense to choose a topic you like? It only stands to reason that if you like your work it will seem more like play to you.
During times where additional time is needed to work on your blog in some capacity you will more likely be willing to invest your efforts.

Your Passion Will Be Infectious

If you like your work this ‘passion’ will reflect more in your blog entries. Readers will pick up on this and be naturally drawn in due to the infectiousness or enthusiasm evident in the content itself. In turn this should result in a higher level of participation creating a more ‘community’ like atmosphere.

Higher Quality Content

The more interest or knowledge you have for the topic on which you blog the better the content will be. This higher quality content will keep your current subscribers happy while also attracting new ones to your site. Everybody wins here!

Creating a blog can be and is very exciting but be careful not to let your enthusiasm hasten the selection of your niche. If you choose a niche that you really are not all that fired up about it will have a negative effect on your efforts and your blog results. Site visitors will expect frequent and interesting blog entries or they will not return. On the other hand you will have to supply this content which will require a lot of research and composing on your part. The bottom line is in order to have one of the most popular blogs in the niche a lot of your time and effort will have to be invested. Selecting a niche you know little about or have little interest in will only make your efforts seem harder. This will result in lower quality content and a lack of reader loyalty.

Making Money by Blogging – Is it Really Possible?

Comments Off
October 29, 2009

Hello again,

By now I’m sure you know quite a bit about blogging, unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past few years. Nearly everybody has a blog these days, most just for fun but many to see if they can make a few dollars online with them. Or, at least get some attention!

Well I’m here to tell you it isn’t really easy to make money with a blog, but it certainly can be done. How do you actually make money with a blog – that is the burning question. I did some research myself, and here is what I found. Some may find it unbelievable, others will get a little angry, and still others will say “I can do that!”. And they may be right.

There are many bloggers that make some really good money, some well known and others not so much outside of the hard-core internet marketing community. One guy for sure that is very successful at is John Chow, and I found a recent breakdown of his income on one of his old blog posts. It reads like this:

Total Blog Income for December 2007: $25,040.36

Sounds unbelievable, right? Well, if you take into consideration that he gets about 244,164 page views from 130,587 unique visitors, that answers a few of the questions anyway. He has so many links to his site that even without the help of Google he can command top ranking and massive traffic. How does he do it? Well for one thing, he has been at it steadily for nearly four years. And that is every single day that I’m aware of, without a break. Sounds like a lot of work, right? You bet it is! He has some help I hear, but even with a few people helping his site is massive, needs a good bit of maintenance on a regular basis with ad sites, answering posts and emails, checking with affiliates and other resources. And that isn’t even mentioning the fact that he comes up with a new topic every day! Most people just couldn’t handle the grind, me included.

So how do you possibly get enough traffic to your blog? The usual ways, of course. Start off by having great content, which is the number one reason most people don’t get as much traffic as they should. Next do the usual promotion such as getting your link out there in articles, forums, link exchanges with other related sites, and of course using some white hat SEO tactics. I’m not going to go into great detail about traffic here, I have several other articles about that. But the truth is without steady traffic you won’t make any money whether you have a blog or a regular website.

The truth is, there are only a small percentage of blogs that are really making a decent amount of money for their owners. If you check the stats above for Johns site, you see he is actually also selling affiliate products on his blog as well. In fact it’s the second highest amount of cash earned! Does that tell you anything? Yes, it means selling products still ranks up there as one of the best ways to make money online. Whether you have your own product or sell other products for affiliate resources, it is easier than using adsense or banner ads and driving enough traffic to make money from them.

The bottom line? Find out what you like to do and then give it a shot – you will never make any money online analyzing others stats, talking about it with your friends, or posting your opinions on the latest forum. Get out there and put up a website of one kind or another and start promoting the heck out of something until you start making money. Take a few tips from the pros while you’re at it, because anything they can do so can you!

I found a way to build passive income for my retirement. Want to find out how?

Microblogging is it really Crucial for Marketers

Comments Off
October 29, 2009

Microblogging as the term suggests means blogging in micro pieces. It permits you to write brief texts on a particular social community or on a site and publish to be viewed by anyone. The basic aim of microblogging is to communicate and converse with the certain limit of characters. Microblogging is gaining popularity as it requires least effort from the people to be connected to each other.

The various Microblogging networks available are:

Twitter

Moodmill

Facebook

Bebo

Out of all the Microblog services Twitter has been the most popular among all and the reason of its popularity is it has constantly allowed people to communicate with the world applications and also connecting with the interesting people. There is an advantage to the twitter post, here you can pen your thoughts instantly and not like other blogs where you have to do time management and have to gather the thoughts before writing them. Moreover twitter is being used widely by people all over the globe so the information one can get from twitter is magnificent.

Microblogging plays a significant role in promoting one’s business. On Twitter you can set up your account to promote your business online and as twitter is visited by thousands of people daily and would route lot of traffic to your site. But this is not enough as creating an account or by doing link building. As people would not be interested in your site but you have to arouse the interest of the people and you can do this by finding people with whom your interests match so then you can spread the message promptly as twitter is all about quick response.

There are some steps about how to post when you are doing it for the first time:

  1. Try to publish interesting blogs/articles
  2. What is your view point on current events
  3. Another way of making friends on twitter is to give a reply to another user on his /her blog and you can increase your contacts manifold.
  4. Another simpler way is to repeat someone else’s blog and again you can check who have repeated your blog so that you can generate traffic to your website.

The crux of the whole discussion lies in the fact microblogging helps the customers to publicize the brands  online as you believe that it would be of great use for the people and this is fine but as soon people indulge in spamming then it losses its value and shine.

Whether you’re using blogging to write your musings online or to promote the products or services you offer, making the right impression is still vital. There are ways to retain your readers and one of the most effective is incorporating a great free blog templates. You don’t have to worry, though, because these are certainly aplenty. You don’t even have to hire a professional to do them for you since there are several user-created templates out there.

What are templates?

Templates are the total outline of your website; from the header design to the number of columns, the pattern you need will be in the template. There are several kinds of templates online but free blog templates are probably the most widely-used because they’re tremendously accessible and easy to use.

What can it do to your website?

Templates can put character in your website. It’s typical for blog hosts to provide a generic template – the basic design you would use for the website. Although most of them also offer other variants, it’s easy to run the risk of typicality. So to separate yourself from the other blogs out there, templates are your answer.

Several free blog templates are easily customizable, giving you plenty of room to improve it. This is also tremendously beneficial in helping you inject your own personality to your website. You can easily attract the attention of your intended readers, for instance, by using a great header design.

The color scheme of most these patterns are also easily changeable. This characteristic makes it easy for you to truly incorporate your theme in the blog. Moreover, you can effortlessly add widgets or gadgets to your website through a good pattern. Adding photo slideshows, video section, calendar and other plug-ins you can think of will be easy through these types of templates.

Where to find free templates?

Fortunately, these patterns are everywhere. By using a search engine, you can easily gain access to a treasure trove of user-created templates, ready to be integrated in your own website. Many websites even offer easy download interface and how-to’s for beginners.

You can even find templates at user-owned blogs. Designers who create free styles sometimes put up their own websites to offer others a chance to use unique and playful website patterns. So the next time you want to change the look of your website, use free blog templates for quick and easy improvements.
