Launching a brand new Blog from scratch uses the following steps.

Lets start with buying a domain name, which is also called registering a domain name. Before you get it think about what you want to name your Blog. For example this Blog is named BlogBoogie.com so I registered the domain name BlogBoogie.com with a reputable domain name seller. My Blog is on the subject of Blogging and everything related to it so the word Blog is suitable. I also wanted my Blog to be fun and added the word boogie. Give some thought to what you want to call your Blog. Once you register a domain name it cannot be changed. Pick a name you will be happy with for years is a good strategy.

After registering a domain name the next step is to get a host. Web hosting is where you Blog sits. It is where it is displayed for all the world to see. A web host charges a monthly fee.

FTP stand for File Transfer Protocol. This means a transfer of your files to your web host so you can start Blogging.

Installing WordPress is the final step in setting up your blog. I have found WordPress to be the best platform to start blogging. Most of the professional Bloggers I know use WordPress. My own Blog here uses it. WordPress leads the field due to its professional look, intuitive administration panel, and search engine friendly indexing. I like WordPress as a Blog platform and once I got used to it became a breeze.

Having a Blog seems to be a must these days. All the Benefits that a blog brings such as creating a brand name, selling products online, telling your friends about your interests can be tons of fun. It is no surprise to me that many people have started Blogging and are launching themselves into the Blogosphere.
